George H. Thrush, Chairman of the Board

Prior to forming The Thrush Companies in 1980, Mr. Thrush held various marketing positions with the IBM Corporation. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Gettysburg College and has attended executive study programs at The University of Chicago and Harvard University's graduate schools of business.

 

 

 


William J. Wolk - President

Before joining The Thrush Companies in early 1990, Mr. Wolk was Vice President of Acquisitions for VMS Realty Partners, Inc., where he participated in transactions totaling over $9 billion. He also served as a Financial Consultant with the Real Estate Research Corporation, involved with acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic planning. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from Iowa State University and a MBA from DePaul University.

He is Past President of the City Chapter of the Homebuilder's Association of Greater Chicago. From 1990 to January 2002, he served as the Chief Operating Officer of Thrush Construction, Inc. In 2002, he took a step away from the Construction aspect of the business and took on the new role of developing new business opportunities for the development and construction sides of the business.



Richard H. Lillie Jr - Vice President of Quality Assurance

Prior to joining The Thrush Companies in 1985, Mr. Lillie was an officer in the real estate department of Continental Bank and at the Balcor Companies. Mr. Lillie received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Williams College and a MBA from Harvard University. He has evaluated real estate development projects on an international basis and has extensive experience in financing and managing residential, industrial, and office properties. Mr. Lillie manages Thrush's Quality Assurance department and oversees warranty service on Thrush's residential product.



David L. Chase, Director

Mr. Chase joined The Thrush Companies in 1994 as a Commercial Leasing Manager. Since 1996 his focus has been on acquisitions, development, sales/ marketing and planning. In this role he managed the development of Block X and Block Y, two of the companies high profile projects. His role also included managing, expanding and defining the Development, Design and Sales and Marketing Departments of the company, setting systems and policies that enable growth and efficiency in these areas.

In addition to this, he worked with William Wolk and Rick Lillie to facilitate and negotiate the buyout of the company from George Thrush, which occurred in 1999. Since 1999, he expanded his scope and took the lead in facilitating a Strategic Planning process for the company. His consistent focus on providing direction and leadership to the entire company led to a unanimous decision by all Principals to appoint him as President/CEO in January of 2002. Prior to joining the Thrush Companies, Mr. Chase participated as a principal in a wide range of development/construction projects; including new construction/renovation of multi-family rentals (4 - 36 units), condominium conversions (24 and 110 units) and office building renovations (10,000 and 40,000 square feet). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
